Open Saturday 8/26/23 8am-12:00 noon for muscadine & flower picking (and a few figs). Come out and pick these fabulous grapes while you still can! These are very different from the muscadines that grow wild in this area. According to Wilson Bros Gardens, “Fry Scuppernong is the standard in muscadines and one of if not the best for fresh eating… large, super sweet grapes of 21% sugar content with excellent quality and taste, and the skin is edible.” Supreme Black muscadine, according to its developer Ison’s Nursery, “is one of the very best and biggest muscadines... long shelf life, edible skin … 22% sugar.“ Both are highly prized by wine and jelly-makers!
PICK INDIVIDUAL GRAPES, NOT CLUSTERS. For kids’ safety, please do not allow them to hang or pull on the single wire that holds all the grapes. Pickers must check in at market at least 30 minutes before closing time. CASH/MC/VISA/AMEX. Bring Clippers to cut zinnias and sunflowers. No pets/No checks please. Sorry, no picnic areas. Restroom is available. Admission $3.00. Picking boxes $2.00, U-Pick grapes $6.00/lb, Zinnias $3/cup, Sunflowers $1/stem. For sale: Blackberry plants $20.
