4/28/2023

OPEN SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 2023 -- 7:30AM-1:00PM. We expect some rain Friday night –fields drain well, but to be safe, wear rain boots or shoes that can get wet. After we assess the field status, we will post on THIS WEBSITE HOMEPAGE AND Facebook on Sat. morning before 7:00am to confirm we will be open. CHECK THIS WEBSITE OR FB PAGE TO BE SURE WE WILL OPEN BEFORE YOU DRIVE OUT. Available to pick on April 29, while supplies last: Thornless Blackberries, Nectarines, Beets, Green Onions, Daikon radishes and Sunflowers. Lots more stuff ripening soon, but that is all we have to pick for now. Nectarines are in full production, so pick now before they are gone for the year. ONLY PICK NECTARINES FROM TREES WITH ORANGE STREAMERS. If you are coming to pick a lot of blackberries, wait a few more days so it is worth the trip, but the large early varieties are ripe now. Bring garden shears for cutting sunflowers. DO NOT PICK GREEN TOMATOES OR SQUASH BLOSSOMS. PRICES: Entry $3/person age 2 and up. U-Pick Fruit: $6.00/lb. U-Pick Vegs: $2.50/lb. Sunflowers $1.00/stem. Reusable fruit-picking box: $2. 00. If you bring your own picking container, you MUST line it with a plastic bag before filling. Cashier will remove the bag filled with produce and place that on the scale for weighing. If you don’t have a removable bag, we will weigh your container along with the produce and you will be charged on the total weight. Pickers must check-in before 12:30pm and weigh/pay by 1:00pm sharp closing time. PLEASE CHECK IN AT MARKET before picking. CASH/MC/VISA/AMEX. No pets, please. No checks pleaseThis farm is our livelihood, so every ounce counts—WEIGH AND PAY BEFORE EATING. This means NO EATING BEFORE YOU PAY FOR THE PRODUCE.  We expect a great season, but cool spring has delayed many of the crops. This post is only for Open Sat, 4/29/23---Next day open will be posted here when known.

Some of our biggest berries of the year are the first to produce.

Daikon Radish is size and shape of a large carrot, and milder in flavor than a traditional radish.

Orange streamers mark the nectarine trees that are available for picking from at this time. Nectarine season is very short, so get yours now before they are gone for the year.
