Open this week: Tues. 7/11/23 and Sat. 7/15/23 7:30am-1:00pm.  This MAY be our last week to be open for a while due to the excessive heat. CHECK WEBSITE HOMEPAGE BEFORE YOU COME OUT TO BE SURE WE ARE OPEN. Our homegrown watermelons, cantaloupes, acorn squash, butternuts, and cushaw are sold pre-picked in the market. U-Pick thornless blackberry season continues but on a very light scale, so look under leaves for berries that are shaded from the sun.  U-Pick Celeste figs are winding down but some still available, and LSU Gold figs are producing well -- best picking of figs is early morning.  Muscadine grapes ripening soon. U-Pick available ‘til sold out: yellow squash, scallop squash, zucchini, okra (few), carrots, slicing cucumbers (few), radishes, peppers, tomatoes (any color ok to pick), zinnias and LOTS of eggplant, and green onion bulbs for planting. Bring CLIPPERS to cut zinnias, bell peppers, and eggplant. PLEASE DON’T PICK SQUASH BLOSSOMS.  Pickers must check-in AT THE MARKET before 12:30pm and weigh/pay by 1:00pm sharp closing time. CASH/MC/VISA/AMEX. No pets/No checks please. Sorry, no picnic areas. Picking boxes $2.00, UPick fruit $6.00/lb, UPick vegs $2.50/lb.
