We're getting closer to opening our season, but still no exact date known. "Early May" is about the closest estimate we can give. These pics show the status as of today, and you can see everything just needs more time to mature. Even though we irrigate, some rain would give everything a kick. Blackberries and peaches are looking better than ever so we're hoping for a bumper crop on both. We are all anxious for the season to begin, so keep watching here for the next update. We sooooo appreciate all of our Friends of the Farm! ![]() Peaches are getting larger and starting to get a bit of color. Many people don't know that in order to get larger peaches, a HUGE percentage of the tiny peaches have to be picked off BY HAND to allow room for some peaches to have room on the stem. If all of the peaches remain on the stem, you get tiny peaches that are so crowded they touch and disease gets between them and you lose all the peaches. Peach tree maintenance is a year-round project for the farmer. Comments are closed.
