Tues 6-2-20 will be great day for blackberry picking!

6/1/2020

We will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2, 2020 7:30am-1:00pm. with lots of ripe blackberries since we have been closed since Saturday afternoon and the berries have had plenty of sunshine to ripen. (Arrive by 12:30pm to pick, weigh and pay before our 1:00pm closing time.) See yellow sign pictured for what is and is not available. Sorry, we have to put so many items on the DO NOT PICK list, but when lots of veggies get picked in immature stages, they need a few days to grow again. This is a learning experience for all of us, and we try to have as many veggies as possible for you to pick. But please pay attention to the signs and don't pick produce before it is mature, or there is nothing for anyone. Especially, the very young peppers are just skin and seeds, and need time to fatten the walls so you actually have some pepper to eat. In the market, pre-picked we will have homegrown peaches, squash, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, tomatoes (red and green), beets, onions and more. Please remember to bring your scissors for cutting zinnias, and cut the flowers above the branching so you don't cut the future blooms.
