The blackberry plants must have LOVED the deep freeze and snow they got this past February, because they are making more blackberries than ever before. Because SOOO many thornless blackberries are ripening simultaneously, we offer UPDATED HOURS FOR PEAK BLACKBERRY WEEK: We usually close Mondays but making exception for this week, along with adding evening picking hours for Wednesday.
Mon. June 7, 2021: 7:30am-1:00pm
Tues. June 8, 2021 7:30am-1:00pm
Wed. June 9, 2021: 7:30am-1:00pm AND 4:30pm-8:00pm
Thurs, Fri, Sat, & Sun, June 10-13, 2021: 7:30am-1:00pm until further notice.
On days we close at 1:00pm, pickers must check in at the market by 12:30pm and pick, weigh and pay by our 1:00pm sharp closing time. On Wednesday evening, pickers must check in before 7:30pm and pick, weigh and pay by our 8:00pm sharp closing time. We're open even if it's raining, but no picking during lightning. Besides blackberries, tomatoes are ripening rapidly, along with lots of other veggies. Bring garden shears to cut sunflowers, zinnias and some vegs; rain boots or yard shoes are recommended at this time. Come on out and harvest your own blackberries and vegetables! FYI: Binford Rd. is under construction between HWY 290 and FM 2920, so if 290/Binford exit is closed, exit Kickapoo or FM 2920.
