2026 muscadine grape picking season starting

MUSCADINE GRAPE SEASON OPENS Fri. Aug. 7, 2026 7:30am-1:00pm FOR GRAPE PICKING ONLY. If we don’t get picked out Friday, we plan to OPEN Sat. & maybe Sun. Aug 8-9, 2026 same hours!! LOTS of ripe "Black Supreme" grapes to pick, and SOME Bronze "Fry" Scuppernong grapes are ripe! PICK INDIVIDUAL RIPE GRAPES, NOT CLUSTERS (see photos). Both varieties are excellent for fresh eating, jelly and wine. These are much larger and sweeter than the wild muscadines grown in this area.

For kids’ safety, please watch them closely and do not allow them to hang or pull on the single wire that holds all the grapes. NO OTHER FRUITS/VEGS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICKING—Just grapes! Pickers must check-in AT THE MARKET before 12:30pm and weigh/pay by 1:00 pm sharp closing time. A limited assortment of pre-picked vegs will be for sale in the market.

WE accept CASH/MC/VISA/AMEX. No pets/No checks please. Sorry, no picnic area. Porta-Pottie and hand sink available.

Admission $3.00, ages 2 and up. Picking boxes $3.00, U-Pick grapes $7.00/lb, Pre-Picked Grapes $9/lb. You may bring your own picking box/bucket but please line with plastic bag (free) for removal when weighing
