Suggestion: Bring Dad and the family out for Father’s Day on the farm, pick the 30 lbs. needed for the volume discount, and have enough berries to freeze and later to use for MORE quality time with Dad making wine, jelly, and cobbler. No rain here since 1 inch on Wed. morning, so thornless blackberry picking is great today. Vines are loaded and fields are in good shape. Open 7:30 am -1:00 pm daily except closed Monday. Take a leisurely stroll thru the U-Pick zinnias on your way to the blackberry-picking fields. It’s not quite ‘tiptoe thru the tulips’ but just as fun! Thornless blackberries are really starting to ripen heavily, not at peak yet but won’t be long.
