Weather update–so far so good!

Posted 2:30 pm 5-8-19

WEATHER UPDATE: thankfully, here in Waller we got less than ½” of rain since Monday, while other areas around Houston got 8-9” or more. Currently (2:30 pm Wednesday) the approaching storm is moving quickly and looks like we may escape its wrath and just get minor rainfall, if any. Visit this page again tonight after 10pm for another weather report. It looks like maybe great picking Thursday and the rest of the week. Zinnias really loved the light rain and should have lots for Mother’s Day picking. Blackberries are plentiful now! Our last two customers today picked 20 lbs. of berries in only 15 minutes! Open regular hours (7:30am-1:00 pm) every day except Monday (Closed Mon.). FARM OPEN (Sunday May 12) MOTHER’S DAY FOR EXTENDED HOURS 7:30 AM TIL 3:00 PM.

Season Opens May 4, 2019 !!!

Posted 5-3-19:

2019 Blackberry Season opens tomorrow, Sat., May 4. (7:30am-1:00 pm). We got quite a bit of rain today, but fields are draining fast. Berry pickers are advised to wear rain boots or shoes that can get wet as there will still be some wet/muddy areas. Due to the rain, U-pick squash and other vegs will not be open tomorrow. Most likely the zinnia-picking will not be available due to the muddy field. But we were able to pick in the some areas today, so we will have HUGE blackberries, these 3 varieties of squash, and some other pre-picked produce for sale in the market. All of these pics were taken today. PRICES: Farm admission $1/person. Re-usable berry picking box $2. U-Pick berries $5/lb. U-Pick vegs $2/lb. Zinnias $3/Solo Cup full. Come out tomorrow or Sunday (7:30 am-1:00 pm) for lots of fun and good eats! Closed Mon., May 6, but hours for the first week are Tuesday May 7 thru Fri. May 10 (7:30 am-1:00 pm. ) We will post hours for following days asap.
